Xenagoras (3rd century B.C.) is a historian from Greece who discussed the Founding of Rome. He is quoted by Plutarchus (Ort231).

Xenophon (430-355 B.C.) was a Greek historian and disciple of Socrates who is perhaps best known for his "Anabasis", an expedition in Asia Minor of Cyrus the younger. He also wrote "On Hunting" (Ort223).

Xiphilinus (second half 11th century) from Trepizond was a monk and nephew of the Patriarch of Constantinople who wrote "Emperors Lives" from Cæsar to Severus. He quotes Severus and Dion (Ort190,192).
