143b.2: between 1592 and 1595, the hatching of the coast lines was extended from about 3 to about 6 mm.

Cartographic sources: Petro Coppo made the first version of this map in 1528. A new version was published by Francesco Bindoni and Mapheus Pasini in 1540. In 1569, a new version was published by Fernando Bertelli in Venice (Karrow 21/27.1, p. 247, Meurer p. 130).

Identification number: Ort 143c (Koeman/Meurer 67c, Karrow: 1/101, vdKrogtAN: 7645:31).
States: 143c.1 as described;
143c.2: between 1592 and 1595, the hatching of the coast lines was extended from about 3 to about 6 mm.

Cartographic sources: according to Ortelius an anonymous map published in 1570, now attributed to Paulo Forlani (Meurer p. 97). On the authority of Brandmair 1914, p. 78, Karrow attributes this map to Bonifazio Natoli.
